Throughout the years Love Wines has won several medals for their wines. Both the Indy Internation wine competition at Purdue University and the Michigan Wine Competition have found their wines to be worthy of several medals including Gold, Silver, and Bronze.

Love Wines is a small batch winery that uses as much local and Michigan fruit as possible while staying true to creating unique and fun wines. Jana began her wine making education on the east side of the state where she helped to plant many varieties of cold hardy hybrids. This gave her a working knowledge of not just the awesome benefits of hybrids but also of the shortcomings that a winemaker must overcome when working with grapes bred to withstand our harsh Michigan winters and late frosts.

Jana and her crew hand harvest and process grapes from 3 local vineyards. She has been blessed to work with some amazing farmers and wonderful people at J & H Vineyards in Hart, Summit Valley Vinyard in Ludington, and Big Burch Vineyards in Benona Township.

Jana also uses many as many local fruits for her blends as she can find. Wines made with sweet and tart cherries, blueberries, peaches, strawberries, cranberries and even elderberries can all be found at the winery. Thanks to Peterson's farms, Leelanau Farms, and the Michigan Cranberry Company, many of these fruits are brought in already harvested and ready to process.
